Gabriel DeLong (he/him/his) is a doctoral temporary limited licensed psychologist (DTLLP). He has a master’s in counseling psychology from Wayne State University and is working towards his Ph.D. Gabriel works primarily with adolescents and adults and has experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, eating disorders, body image dissatisfaction and assessing and managing ADHD. He has worked in the LGBTQ+ community providing safe and affirming spaces for youth. His research focuses on how to provide education to those who work with the LGBTQ+ community, how to support LGBTQ+ youth, and how to foster and encourage healthy body image ideals. Gabriel operates from an existentialist perspective where the emphasis is placed on the subjective experience of humanity, the uniqueness of individualism, and reclaiming the power of choice. Additionally, Gabriel works from a mindfulness perspective, where a connection between the here and now and the body is created to enhance each moment, manage stress, and understand oneself.
