My mission is to help clients learn new strategies for coping with grief, anxiety, depression, and job and relationship issues and provide them with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which helps people identify their distressing thoughts and evaluate how realistic the thoughts are. Through CBT, clients can learn to change their distorted thinking. When they think more realistically, they can begin to feel better. The emphasis is also consistently on solving problems and initiating behavioral changes. My experience includes in-patient and out-patient psychiatry, community mental health, schools, and courts with a diverse range of people.
I specialize in insight-oriented psychotherapy as well as a brief form of solution-focused counseling and life coaching. My specialties include the treatment of mood disorders, behavioral issues, grief, and relationship issues. I utilize evidence and strength-based psychotherapy to guide clients to achieve their positive solutions.
I provide Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Coaching, and Eclectic types of therapy. I begin my relationship with the client by completing the Intake and evaluating and assessing a client’s strengths, needs, and challenges. We work together to develop a realistic treatment plan that focuses on needs, strengths, and goals along with realistic ways to achieve success.
