Iris Proctor

Iris Proctor, L.L.M.S.W.

Therapist

Iris received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan while leading and practicing as a member of an integrated, multi-disciplinary, healthcare team. Together this team improved patient well-being by providing care that addressed the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of those served.
However, Iris’ passion for people was cultivated during 25+ years leading for-profit and non-profit organizations. While working with individuals at all levels within an organization, Iris not only helped them identify and achieve measurable corporate goals, but she recognized that the sustainability of organizations is dependent upon the resilience of its people. To help clients achieve their goals, Iris has a trauma-informed, collaborative style that is non-judgmental, creates safety and empowers agency. She unites a strengths-based approach with evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and Somatic Experiencing (SE). Iris enjoys working with people struggling with anxiety, chronic illness and pain self-management, depression, grief & loss, PTSD, racial trauma, and women’s issues. At a client’s request, Iris welcomes the incorporation of a Christian worldview into therapy.
