David Perrotta (LLMSW) earned his Master’s in Social Work in 2000 from the University of Michigan. David’s first ten years post-grad school employment included work as a medical hospice social worker, case manager for adults with developmental disabilities and a Work/Life Specialist at the University of Michigan. I have also spent 10 years in the field of education with 5 years of classroom teaching experience as a middle school English teacher and an English as a Second Language teacher.
My areas of experience include working with diverse groups of populations. I have counseled those who have or are going to experience a loss, individuals with depression and anxiety, individuals who have body image concerns, adjustment disorders, gender identity issues and issues specific to the LGBTQ+ population. My office is a safe place for people of all religions, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations and ages. My goal is to help clients navigate through the difficulties of their lives by utilizing techniques used in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapeutic (DBT), Talk Therapy and mindfulness.
