Melanie completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Central Michigan University. Prior to graduate school, she worked as an EMT and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Physiology at The University of Iowa where she also was a student-athlete on the soccer team. Melanie enjoys working with patients of all ages with interest in anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, mood disorders, and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders through evaluation and psychotropic medication management. Her passion for psychiatry began in high school as she wanted to better understand people and their behaviors. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with friends and family and stays active with mountain biking, running, swimming, hiking, and playing soccer.
